Brothers and Sisters!  Dayton's City Manager, Tim Riordan, has proposed laying off our hardworking brothers and sisters while increasing more overlapping layers of management.  His "plan" will violate the contract our brothers and sisters have negotiated for.  If these recommendations are accepted by The City Commission, it will begin a devastating trend.

The City Manager has a position protected from the voice of the people, and no desire to listen to our staff.  However, Dayton's City Commission can force The City Manager to return to the table with an open mind.  The City Commission is accountable to us all.  We have supported them and now we ask that they support us!

Tell them we are tired of doing more with less while management does less with more!  Tell them our contract is not to be trampled on!  Tell them to force Mr. Riordan to listen to our ideas!  Tell them we don't forget those who help us as well as those whose actions or inactions harm us!

Please, my brothers and sisters, I beseech you to contact Dayton's City Commission today and stop this terrible injustice.
